This is my blog. I arrived in Israel December 5 to volunteer. I never bought a return flight. After a month or so here I decided to officially immigrate and make Aliyah.

When I told people I was going, lots of people wanted regular updates on my location, safety and exploits. Instead of sending 50 WhatsApp messages I've been writing one blog post.

I write about volunteering in and moving to Israel, people I meet, and things I experience. I try to write everything that comes honestly, and at least once a week or so.

This blog is half journalism, half therapy, half hasbara, half travel/culture, and half humor, for a total of two and a half blogs. That seems fair given how much I feel like I'm doing (and feeling).

Some of the content is more personal and probably won't interest anyone who doesn't know me personally. But don't let that be a reason to not share my writing with people you think might appreciate or learn from it, I'm very gratified by the small impact I've already had.
